The Château de Couches has undergone a spectacular transformation with the meticulous restoration of the framework and roof of its 19th‑century residential wing. Carried out with dedication and a deep respect for authenticity, the restoration work began in 2018 and reached its peak in 2019, returning the Château to its former splendour.

 

At the heart of this metamorphosis lies the roof, one of the Château’s most emblematic features, restored in the finest detail. The glazed‑tile roof, composed of 17 different shades, is a faithful reproduction of the one that crowned the Château so majestically in the 19th century. Each tile reflects the artistry of traditional craftsmanship, adding visual richness and historical depth to the architectural ensemble.
